Salomon Size Chart

Footwear, apparel, ski and snow sizing for men, women and kids. Salomon builds on the French Paris-point system, so EU sizes appear as fractions such as 40 2/3 — sizing by foot length in centimetres is always the most reliable match.

Women's Footwear EU 36 – 45 1/3

Measure your foot length and match it to the centimetre column. Men's and women's sizes are not direct conversions.

Men's to women's footwear

Men's and women's sizing is not intended for direct conversion. Always match your measured foot length in centimetres instead of subtracting a fixed number of sizes.

Width availability

Most models are built on a narrow, precise last. Selected trail and hiking styles are also offered in a wide fit for a roomier toe box.

Kids' & Youth Footwear EU 26 – 40

Sizes marked “kid” are little-kid sizes; US 1 to 8 are youth sizes. Leave roughly a thumb's width of room at the toe for growing feet.

Growing room

Aim for about one centimetre — a thumb's width — between the longest toe and the front of the shoe. Anything more than that will feel loose on descents.

Measure both feet

Children's feet grow unevenly. Measure both feet on the same sheet of paper, in the socks they will wear, and take the longer measurement.

Unisex models are listed with a single foot length. Read across to find the equivalent men's and women's size.

One shell, one last

A unisex model is built on a single last, so both men and women order using the same foot-length column — not two different size numbers.

Fractional EU sizes

Sizes such as 40 2/3 and 42 1/3 are one third of a Paris point apart. They look unusual but map cleanly onto standard half sizes in other brands.

How to Measure Your Foot

Take five minutes and measure properly — it is the single biggest factor in getting the right fit.

Prepare the paper

Place a sheet of paper on a hard floor against a wall. Wear the same socks you would wear with the shoe.

Trace your foot

Stand with your heel against the wall and your foot perpendicular to it. Draw a line just in front of your longest toe.

Measure both feet

Repeat for the other foot, then measure heel to line on each. Always use the longer of the two.

Match the table

Find your measurement in the centimetre column and read across to the size. If you land between two, choose the larger.

How to Measure Apparel

Chest

Measure horizontally around the widest part of the chest or bust, keeping the tape level.

Waist

Measure around the narrowest part of the waist, above the hip bones.

Hip

Standing with feet together, measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat.

Sleeve

Measure from the middle of the back, across the shoulder, down the outside of a slightly bent arm to the wrist.

Inseam

Measure along the inside of the leg from the crotch to the bottom of the ankle.

Finding Your Salomon Fit

Trail running

Built for locked-in control on technical ground with a precise, narrow hold. True to your measured foot length; size up half a size for ultra distance or wide feet.

Hiking & backpacking

Roomy toe box and a supportive mid-cut hold. Generally true to size and comfortable straight from the box.

Lifestyle

Some silhouettes run slightly generous. If you are between two sizes and prefer a closer fit, take the smaller one.

Ski & snow

Boots follow Mondopoint rather than US or EU. Shells can be custom-fitted, so start from your measured foot length in centimetres.

Layering

Shells and midlayers are sized to fit over a base layer. If you plan on heavy layering, consider one size up.

Between two sizes?

Go with the larger size for running and hiking, and the smaller size for close-fitting apparel and compression layers.

Care & Returns

Returns: unworn, unwashed items in original packaging can be returned within the stated return window.
Exchanges: wrong size? Exchange for another size or colour while stock lasts.
Footwear: try shoes on indoors first — worn outdoors or with dirty soles they may not qualify for return.
Care: air dry footwear at room temperature, away from direct heat, and never machine wash or tumble dry.

Conversions follow Salomon's published sizing for men, women, kids and unisex models. Measurements are approximate and provided for reference only.
